Teenagers who bother to hit the library after school can be fairly described as "good kids", what with the numerous other tempting options available these days. And they do come promptly at 3:15pm, making their presence felt. On this day, I had to leave not because these teens were raising the noise level, but because I was annoyed that I tried and could not find such known titles as "Three Junes" by Glass and "Empire Falls" by Russo and many others. Whoever decides which novels to acquire for Fountain Valley Library is, in my estimation, attempting to avoid certain titles. Wonder why? Unless, maybe, all those 20-odd books I was looking for were checked out, which I doubt.
