For the two curious souls who are wondering how I created the graphics on this page, here is the secret -- I got help from a graphics software called "ArtRage", a fun little illustration software freely available for download online.
Basically, what ArtRage does is that it simulates oil paint brush strokes, so the drawings look eerily like photos taken from actual oil paintings, sometimes with the strokes visible on the "canvas" (see the example above).
A tip: you can save your "oil paintings" in .jpg file format (same as digital photos'), then post the art works on your blog the same way you would with your photos. In ArtRage, click on "File", then click on "Export as Image" to save your pictures in .jpg.
