Icy Blue Lake
Being able to write on holidays is a special treat for me. Whenever holidays are near, the little cartoon bubble above my head says: "Oh, yeah, extra peaceful time to write!" "Silent Night" may be the song for Christmas choirs, but "Silent Morning" is what I sing about. While the entire population sleep in, I jump out of bed early, turn on my laptop, and plunge right into the icy blue lake of alphabet and punctuation.
Bless all the saints, pilgrims, and presidents, for when people honor them, I get to work on my new novel.
