75,000 words to go. Lord knows it's hard work, but, nobody put a gun to my head, as the saying goes.

The outline is set, the characters are coming alive, I just have to write them down. I'm paraphrasing Hitchcock here, but I think he said something like once he got the entire movie figured out in his head, the process of shooting it became boring. Not in my case. The writing part never gets boring for me; I get anxious, however; it's like eating a donut in the dark -- you know it tastes good, but you're afraid you'll get too excited and bite your fingers.
