Knock on Woody

Current Magazine did a "20 Questions with Woody Allen", and Mr. Annie Hall's answers contain his unique brand of humor. Examples:

Q: How do you see the function of the critic, if at all?
A: A ticket-buyer's guide - to keep the poor citizens from wasting his hard earned money on trash.
Q: What is your favorite sandwich?
A: Hot brisket. Very bad for you. I allow myself none every ten years.

He also said something serious like:

Q: Is there a specific work of art to which you return repeatedly for inspiration? The European movies of the 1950s and 1960s.
A: Swedish director Ingmar Bergman, regarded as one of the greatest auteurs of the century, won back-to-back Academy Awards for best foreign-language film for “The Virgin Spring” (1960) and “Through a Glass Darkly” (1961). Italian director Federico Fellini also found fame with the memorable film “La Dolce Vita.”
