Margaret Atwood might have started something. She is the Canadian author best known for "The Blind Assassin", which won Booker Prize in 2000. It is being reported that she has come up with an idea of "remote-signing machine with a robotic arm", and some publishing houses have actually invested money in the gizmo. Next month, Ms. Atwood will be in England to sign books in person, and remotely in Canada and the U. S. on the same day.
Today, a robot book-signing arm; tomorrow, what? A remote gloved hand for punching an author? Or a critic?
