Well, not exactly in those words, but Steve ("Y'all gonna love the magical iPad.") Jobs, in a rare reply to an email inquiry about why Apple has not put Blu-ray HD in Mac computers, proclaims that YouTube is as good as Blu-ray for HD video distribution (reported by 9To5Mac website).
I get what he was trying to say. Of course, he's not saying YouTube HD videos look as sharp as Blu-ray HD when shown on a big-screen TV or monitor, but rather that YouTube HD will be popular enough of a standard for regular people or Hollywood to present their videos to the masses.
This is a serious endorsement of YouTube from a man who rarely endorses any product not associated with Apple.
